Project: App Design: youth activities in the Boroondara municipality
Client: City of Boroondara

This app is a comprehensive resource for youth activities in the Boroondara municipality of Melbourne, focusing on performing arts and sports sectors. Let's delve into the details of the two prototype screens:

Screen 1: Interactive Map

  • This screen features a map interface, utilising Google Maps, displaying the locations of different performing arts locations including dance, acting, and music schools.

  • Users can interact with the map, zooming in and out, and clicking on markers to access more information about each facility.

  • The markers are colour-coded for easy identification of the different types of performing arts schools.

  • The interface is intuitive and responsive, allowing users to navigate seamlessly through the map to find relevant information.

Screen 2: Pop-out Information

  • This screen appears when a user clicks on a marker on the map, providing detailed information about a specific performing arts school.

  • It includes information including the name of the school, address, contact details including links to the school’s website and social accounts, and a brief overview of the school including the types of classes offered, age groups catered to.

  • The pop-out screen is designed to overlay smoothly on top of the map, allowing users to easily close it and return to the map view if desired.
